What will I do as a RN Unit Coordinator for The Wesley Community?

  • Managing the organization of a nursing unit to maintain approved standards of resident care and is the case manager for the residents on the unit.
  • Maintaining good communication with other departments to provide a high quality of life for the residents.
  • Participating in long and short strategic planning through attendance at management meetings and active participation on committees.
  • Making reports/recommendations to Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing as necessary, concerning the operation of the unit.
  • Providing stimulating and encouraging leadership to the team to promote interest and pride in high quality resident care.

RN Unit Coordinator Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
  • Must have current RN license.
  • Recent supervisory or charge nurse experience necessary.
  • Geriatric Nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience in rehabilitation or with chronically ill preferred
  • Experience with dementia/memory care preferred.
