The Wesley Community is seeking a Pastoral Care Coordinator! Currently hiring for a Part Time position, working 4 days a week.


As a Pastoral Care Coordinator, supporting the mission of Wesley Community will include the following responsibilities:

  • Assuming responsibility for Spiritual Life and Religious Life of residents.
  • Assessing the spiritual and religious needs of each resident which includes arranging for the provision of spiritual and religious support in accordance with their wishes.
  • Consults with the interdisciplinary team about the special pastoral and spiritual needs of specific residents.
  • Coordinates a system of volunteer pastoral care visitors including recruitment and training.
  • Leading (and also scheduling community clergy, pastoral, lay leaders, etc. to lead) routine worship services as well as bible studies, faith based peer connection groups at Wesley.
  • Maintains contact with the resident's home Pastor, Priest or Rabbi if requested by resident.
  • Completes daily documentation of resident engagement within time frame specified by the Director of Life Enrichment. Computer skills: Word, email, patient database charting, internet, voicemail.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding the pastoral care program.


  • Seminary graduate with a Bachelor or Masters of Divinity Degree.
  • Ordained, credentialed, or commissioned according to the practices of a legitimate and recognized religious organization/faith tradition.
  • A minimum of one Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit, two or more preferred.
  • A working knowledge of long term health care, geriatrics, palliative and end of life experience preferred.
  • Experience in community relations preferred.
  • Minimum of one year supervised experience in a medical, educational or religious agency/institution.
  • Must be a member in good standing of a national professional organization.
